At The Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Business and Management a number of part-time positions as Professor in Business, Management and Economics is open for appointment from1 February 2020or soon thereafter. The positions cover a five year tenure.

Job description
The part time professorship, which comprises 0,2 FTE, will be associated with one or more research groups at the department. Applicants must cover one or more of the following fields:

• Innovation and industrial dynamics
• Learning processes and the evolution of work organizations and labor markets
• Macroeconomic dynamics and economic growth
• Alternatives to mainstream macroeconomic modelling
• Accounting and strategic management
• Accounting and the management of intellectual capital

As part time professor, you are expected to contribute to the intellectual leadership of the research group to which you belong. Intellectual leadership concerns international impactful research and publication, and excellent teaching based on problem-based learning. The contribution will support the ongoing process by which the department is preparing itself for transformation into an internationally accredited business school with a strong focus on corporate engagement.

Qualification requirements

It is presupposed that applicants can document a high degree of original scientific production at an international level, and can document having contributed considerably to the development of the subject area of the job description. Emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to perform research management and other management functions, provide pedagogical guidance as well as supervision and take part in academic assessments. Furthermore emphasis will be placed on a comprehensive teaching experience.

Experience with problem-based learning is preferable, but not required. Finally, the ability to establish relationships with business and policy communities is of importance.

• List of publications that the applicant wishes to be considered. A maximum of 10 publications may be submitted.
• Co-author statements in relation to publications written with other authors must be enclosed with a declaration from each of the authors, stating the extent of the applicant's contribution to the total work. The declaration must be signed by the co-authors. Template co-author declaration, at the bottom of this page.
• Education (copies of documentation for degrees obtained).
• Documentation for teaching qualifications. Guide, at the bottom of this page.

Assessment

An expert assessment committee will assess all candidates.

Shortlisting will be applied. This means that subsequent to the deadline for applications the head of department supported by the chair of the assessment committee will select candidates for assessment. All applicants will be informed whether they will be assessed or not. The selected applicants will be informed of the composition of the assessment committee, and each applicant will have the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that applies to the applicant in question. When the employment process has been terminated, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.

Agreement

Appointment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities (the Appointment Order) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science's Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities. Salary is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) on Academics in the State.
